On the day our older brother was to get married, we found our younger brother dead on the floor. It was a rough couple of weeks. I applied for bereavement leave which they okayed. But there was a mandatory training thing, during this period that I missed.
They called me up to HR to have a meeting about 'my dismal performance' and that they may have to terminate my employ. In a rather nasty way. So, I told them to shove it and quit.

@Thevy29 I’m so sorry ! What a horrible reaction by the employer. 🥺
"I walk out of here in triumph"
I am STEALING that.
My entire life is helping people who deal with horrific disrespect at the workplace. POwerful scene.

I never felt appreciated at a job. Of course, since they were paying me the least they possibly could I always felt it was my duty, as an American, to do the least I possibly could.

@hunkalove several people feel that way

I didn’t understand any of that

@AngelUnforgiven can you explain it to me?
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
@Ferise1 his father died the company sent him a generic go-to box of pears and a card with a stamp on it. he felt that it was insincere.and that he deserved more sympathy because he's done so much for the company.
