So the good news is - I'm getting more hours AND it's with the clients I already have rather than new ones 30 miles in the opposite direction.

The bad news is - their house reeks of cat piss and gives me a bad headache and no matter what I do, I can't get rid of the smell. And now I have to deal with it for an extra two days.
I love these people and am ever so grateful for the hours but wtf can I do about the smell of cat piss???

Thank you for doing what you do. As for the cat piss, it's a lost cause until all the carpet is replaced and everything is properly washed. I supervised a team of four teenagers and one adult who helped a woman in a mobile home with four cats and smelled terrible. We ripped everything out, used Mr. Clean and other stuff on everything. Replaced the carpet. County home care services took the cats, and let her keep one. The kids wore masks and had to take frequent breaks to avoid getting sick. Great kids!

@exexec I used to have this friend who lived in a trailer with NINE kitty cats and a dog.
He himself was a slob, so the trailer was so stinky that the air had not only a stench but it was hard to breathe. Like a thick texture of God knows what in the air. Maybe dander but this was serious.

@exexec this particular friend was pretty gross. The neckbeard type.
