I have five days to decide whether or not to file a lawsuit or let them go. The sentence can be from 2 to 10 years.
I am not sure about financial settlement. If I doesn't affect my health long term, I don't really care much.
In Canada my insurance covered everything and I didn't bother pursuing. Was busy taking care instead.
But yeah, there are compensations if I want them, eventually

@Miram But your employer is responsible for this financially, you were injured in the workplace doing your job. Presumably you followed all the guide lines for your job role? The guy who hit you probably has no money and you maybe dont need to see him punished. .
This sounds like a lawsuit against your employer. Your employer knows they're liable so in your shoes I wouldn't say anything to your employer until you've lawyered up.
