I don't think you need it. You are wonderful and full of compassion.

But you never know it might have tips in there.

Like the nurses and doctors said I couldn't give my mom what she wanted right before she died.

I listened to my mother who was dying and give her wish against doctors orders. I drove her to see my grandparents, her parents and we the rest of the family came over that weekend and had a big cookout.

Two or three weeks before she died she kept talking about how she wanted to have one more cookout with everyone.

Two days later she passed away.

All I cared about is making her last days on earth happy as I could make it.

Sometimes you have make decisions by the heart and not so much by the book

@HumanEarth My problem is that I get very attached to my people. To the point where I had one of my people tell me I'm digging myself a hole because I'm getting too involved with another client because his family will neglect him even more than they do already and he's going to become MY responsibility. But my thing is - he's already MY responsibility, that's my job.

Then stop calling hhim a client. If your already too involved. Might as well go all the way and loose that "Client” tag and call them family

@HumanEarth I know I HATE client, but that's what my new job refers to them as. I call them my peoples. And I do love them!!

@masterofyou I don't think any book could teach you to be more kind & caring & gentle than what you already are.

@Tumbleweed We always need to learn more about being loving and caring because we've been through a lot and we sometimes falter and sometimes books like that give inspirational help sometimes..... Especially one book i can think of right now even though I'm very naughty, and its the Bible...💞

You guys and pediatric oncologists...I have no idea how you do it.
Tumbleweed · F
@TexChik The bank teller thanked me this morning for taking on this job when I went to deposit my check. It made me feel so good! 🤗
TexChik · F
@Tumbleweed You have to have a calling for it, because its a tough one!
Tumbleweed · F
@TexChik Girl, it can get to ya! Alot of them are like children, how you have to watch out for them, etc and it can definitely be draining.

Such a big and selfless heart you have!🩷 How many people do you help/take care of?
Discerning · 46-50, MNew
Hopefully you get something out of it. That’s a tough job I’m sure
Tumbleweed · F
@Discerning It's very tough. Not so much physically as it is emotionally/mentally
WonderGirl · 41-45

@Tumbleweed 🤔i hope this is helpful advice for you and this guy is not pratt by name and a prat by nature lol 😆
you more than likely can't get any better you are now,🙂
I could have used this with my late ex fiancee when I became more of her caregiver than her partner for her terminal lung issues.
