Yeah, i have noticed so self involved, entitled and weak the younger generations have become.

@Adrift No, you haven’t. Thanks for playing.

When I was six I watched a movie in the classroom about government jobs for good people who want to serve the community, but not as soldiers. We were told that we'd get to take tests as adults that placed us in civil service jobs if we studied in school. By 1978 we were told that we might not get a civil service job without a Bachelor's degree. Then they just stopped the testing in bit. No fair deals.
The real experience I have as a boomer is so hated that it might as well never be heard about. Today's adults have no clarity and no grip on reality and absolutely hate us for knowing what we know as boomers. No anti war hippies coming to save you this time! Gahead. Pocalypse yerselves real good.

If you die tomorrow, they will have a job post by noon to replace you. Employers expect loyalty when they give no reason to. Your body is what they pay for. Taking care of it is a higher job than your work.

When employers stop treating employees as expendable commodities and start treating them like valued humans, then the topic of work ethics can be brought up. Until then, employers can suck it.

And yes, the greed of Boomers trying to grab everything for themselves and profiteering off every little thing absolutely did this. They earned the hate they get.

No love from Gen X, the kids they willingly forgot about except to abuse.

@FoxyQueen Ya’ll were the first to do worse than their parents because of greed and ignorance, and are often forgotten in late discussions of this

The boomers really were the worst generation
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@PalteseMalconFunch Boomers want to complain about their kids, but they want to also forget they raised us. They can't have it both ways. 🤷‍♀

@JimboSaturn That’s exactly right. They should be grateful for my labor just as much as I should be grateful for their pay

@DearAmbellina2113 It does seem to be a defining trait in general, but they view themselves as all self made champions at the same time
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@PalteseMalconFunch they had it easy. You could get a job right out of high school and keep it til you retired, supporting your whole family of 5 on your income alone.
PalteseMalconFunch · 36-40, T
@DearAmbellina2113 I remember in one of his lectures about how bad I am with money he told me he graduated his masters program with 6,000 USD total (grad and undergrad) in student debt making 10 times that at his first job

Like boy sit down when you speak to me 🤣
