Ants, thousands of them

Went to use the toaster oven in our office space this morning, only to be startled that the inside was infested with hundreds of red ants. And there was a trail of many, many hundreds more leading to a wall. Good times

We had them coming in through an area by the back door.
I found some peppermint, clove oil spray that I used to spray around the parameter of the house. So far I haven't seen any coming in since then.

It’s been raining heavily here and I just got 4 ants that were crawling around on the blanket I left in the living room. I think they climbed down the chimney and came through the tiny space between the glass doors. If they keep on coming inside I’m putting out ant bait for them.

@come2gether After it rained about 3 days and stopped last week the there were anthills everywhere outside. Then it started raining again. Those little tiny ants that eat anything sweet.
