My annual evaluation turned out better than expected 😮

Much to my surprise, my bosses had no issue with how many days off I've taken lately. They said I always communicate with them when I'm going to be out and that so long as I'm never a no-show and have the PTO to take those days off, there's never any issue. Their main criticism (their only one, really), was that they'd like to see me take a greater leadership role in our department. That sure I always step up as manager whenever they're both out, but they'd like to see me stepping up even they're not out, because sometimes they're both at work but preoccupied with other tasks and they'd like to see me assist with taking on those managerial tasks when I'm not busy. That's totally fair. I've been working here for ten years and have elevated to third-in-charge. I don't like having to be the boss when I need to be, but like or not, I have to. They've suggested me taking two managerial and leadership trainings this year whenever they come around, which I've agreed to. Time to finally step up and no longer be manager in title only, but in performance as well.

Hopefully a pay raise is in store.

@ineedadrink I did get a raise because I excelled at everything else, but hopefully I'll get a bigger one next year after I take those trainings. They're probably gonna suck, but I clearly need it.

@Ducky
...but those training sessions might also not suck.
