Would you move to a city you're not excited about

But you are excited about the work you could be doing there? Seems like a double edged sword.

It would take a pretty big salary to inspire me to move for work. I'd consider looking in nearby cities/suburbs if I wasn't too happy with where work was.

@Starcrossed right, so, what if there aren't suburbs with this location? There's just this particular city, and then wheat fields for hours in every direction...

@Neman1622 I mean if the job was my dream job, doing some artsy shit and not worrying about being able to pay my bills on time, I'm guessing I could live anywhere.

But some job that's maybe a little better than alright, I'm not sure would be enough to motivate me away from my home state, friends and family.

@Neman1622 and as far as "wheat fields for hours in every direction" I've lived on the prairie in my 20s. Meh.

@Starcrossed meh, indeed, that's the thing! Ikea would be 2 hours away.

@Starcrossed but the salary... that would be very comfortable, so based on that and your input, if the offer is made, I'm in the yes category

@Neman1622 you can always make your home your sanctuary with the right salary.
