sometimes i feel like such a loser because in the 30 years at current job i called in sick once
and that was legitimate. like everyone else phones in sick when they are not so why shouldn't i? i guess that makes me a goody two shoe

Integrity is rare. People often don't care who they screw over with their lies, their laziness, or their lack of accountability. They think they're being clever by having other people shoulder the weight, but really they're just being selfish
I get that work consumes a huge amount of time and energy people would rather dedicate to other things, but there are better ways of handling it than calling out last minute
