sometimes i feel like such a loser because in the 30 years at current job i called in sick once
and that was legitimate. like everyone else phones in sick when they are not so why shouldn't i? i guess that makes me a goody two shoe

i remember my first week here . 25 years ago.
i was working with a guy named Noal.
back then we used to get pay slips and cash on payday.
just so happens it was the end of the year. start of a new finacial year. so we all got a payslip outlining how many sickies we had up our sleeve for the next year.
noal: 'you beauty.. 10 more days holidays " (referring to his new batch of sick days accrued)... :)
point of the story.. if you dont use them you lose them.
they dont pay you for not using them :)
so endeth the lesson
