Barely making $100 every 2 weeks

Well, I lost my contracting job on December 1st…I was only getting less than $300 per week, and trying to stay above water without going negative in my bank. I only had that gig for 8 months. And now, I am only working my side gig while trying to find something else. It pays $4 per chapter of ai written content (I write 150-200 words for the first part, and the ai writes the rest). It’s an okay gig, but being that I am actually an aspiring writer, I’m scared that this gig is going to be the death of my future as a writer (if I ever make it to that point). But the good news is, ai itself still has a lot of kinks to work out, and it loves to repeat certain words and phrases. So with that said, I will know the difference between an ai written book, and a book put out by an actual person. I just wish I could find a real job that’s not customer service, or contracting that gets rid of me for stupid reasons that don’t make sense…I just need something that I enjoy doing that pays well. This whole year has been a huge disappointment.

Wow, how can you survive on so little? Some fast food jobs pays 14 dollars an hour where I live . That's 560 gross per week for 40 hours.
@FreeSpirit1 The subway at the other end of the strip mall next to me starts at $17

@FreeSpirit1 I am fortunate to have someone who makes a good income to fall back on. The only downside is that I have fallen to “housewife status,” meaning I also have to do all the chores around the house, including clean up after him without complaints…because he’s basically holding me up from drowning in my bills.

@PoisonLace oh ok, I was thinking it would be impossible otherwise.

@FreeSpirit1 it really would me. I am grateful that I had someone to fall back on, otherwise I’d be completely out of luck.

@FreeSpirit1 but that doesn’t make me hate this any less. I hate relying on someone else, and desperately crave to be independent.
@PoisonLace I can imagine so :(
