Even though it wasn’t really my fault, I feel bad for the role I played in my manager deciding to quit
The boss clearly favored me despite the shit ton of work and effort he put in. I mean sure my sales were pretty good, but he was the main person ensuring everything ran smoothly. He worked his ass off and customers loved him. He had ambitious ideas for the store and did his best to implement them. But I was the “golden pony” as he put it. Me, who shows up late everyday and usually doesn’t finish doing inventory.
I feel a bit guilty. I mean I’m glad the boss likes me and everything but it feels a bit undeserved. He was the real star
