Unfortunately my line of work often attracts those with more unmet needs than the clients they're supposed to serve.
They score 100% on the 'empathy' but are like having a seven year old with behavioural problems around the office.

Over the years i've known some dominate staff meetings by driving the subject under discussion completely off base because they want validation for their own feelings on a completely unrelated matter.

Had some that if there's a 'practical task' would rather hide in the bathroom until it's completed by somebody else. Effectively leaving the team one member short for a period.

People who are constantly late or forever calling in sick TEN MINUTES before a shift is supposed to begin. Making it hard to find cover at such short notice etc.

But by far the worst are those who complain about other people TO other people they are working with. Spreading rumour and mistrust among those they are currently working with. Rather tha reporting any issue to management.

Now. In an ideal world, Management would be on their game and better selecting their staff from the get-go.
But, Even better would be to ACTUALLY MANAGE their staff IN their WORK environment !
But in my 34 years there have been few who managed that.
