I've hated every job I've ever had

Including this new one that I've had for 2 months.
I'm a one-on-one meeting with manager:

Manager: do you have any comments or suggestions?

Me: [insert suggestion]

Manager: that's not how it works around here. We don't do things that way.

So why tf ask for a suggestion then? 😐🤔🤨🙄🤷‍♀️

Most ridiculous job I've ever had in my life.

I do not understand management at certain places of business. When my son was in High school, he worked at a Wendy's restaurant as the fry, Grill guy. One Saturday two front line workers never came in to take orders and to run the pickup window, so my son did all three jobs getting all orders right and cooked timely, at the end of the day the store manager wrote him up for being too Efficient. I nearly lost my mind when he told me that once he got home, but he went right back to work his next shift and did not change his work ethic.

I quit buying anything ever again there as my protest.

@WillaKissing that’s terrible that a manager should do that. He should have appreciated your son’s efforts at covering all 3 jobs and praised him instead.

@cherokeepatti Yes, but in this woke world all that manager saw was 17-year-old outperforming her adult self and felt self conscious about it while all she did was sit in the office and try and call unscheduled workers in, even new hires.

@WillaKissing I betcha she knew she couldn’t have done what he did when she was his age and it hurt her ego.

@cherokeepatti Yes, and the only thing that made her to feel better was a write up for the 'Too Efficient Employee"! Stupid as heck when they can't get folks to come to work.
