Nice to be appreciated at work

I was called into the bosses office today.
He handed me a letter with this as it's content.

"In recognition of the high standard in which you are performing your role we are delighted to confirm that your rate of pay will increase to ...

This increase will be effective from 5/07/2023.

On behalf of the company we would like to thank you for your ongoing support and contribution to the business."

The rise represents an increase of 7.5 %. On top of an 8% increase 6 months ago.

@TruthGate We do not need guns. Aussies are more accepting of differing viewpoints.
No need to shoot someone because they have a different opinion, or use your driveway to turn around.
You are welcome to come here and feel safe.
@Gusman thats not the main reason for guns.. i mean.. burglers are a real threat.. rapists.. etc.. but the real reason for the second amendment is for civil defence against a tyrannical or potentially invading government force. The threat of tyrannical overreach is very real. The entire world has seen what governments do to peaceful protests. The evidence for the necessity of firearms is everywhere. Noone should be allowed to own a monopoly on force. It makes me sick when i see something in the news that is preventable- like the peaceful lockdown protests getting destroyed by riot officers for example. Watching those poor people get beaten and teargassed, forced into taking the jab, staying home and wearing masks... they wouldn't dare step on an armed populace the same way. We have demonstrated in the U.S. what happens when peaceful protesters are armed to the teeth- they accomplish their goals. Without guns, the government can walk on whoever they want, with guns. We stop government overreach.
