I worked at a job for 3 weeks and didn't get paid for a couple of the days

I had to sign a paper saying that if I stay less than 2 weeks they will take $150 out of my check. Ok fine, but I was there 3 weeks.. I called the owner today to ask about it. He said he considered the days I actually worked to be less than 2 weeks. He said I worked 10 days, I actually worked 12. I'm pretty sure I'm missing at least 2 days of being paid. 16 hours times 13.00 an hour. Whatever that comes to. And he tried to tell me I'm the one who owes HIM money. I guess I'll just let it go because he thinks he's right. But still makes me mad. I think it's illegal for him to do that.

File with state labor board, they will investigate.

But he sat there and acted like he could get a lawyer and try to get money out of me

@swandfriends the labor board doesn't scare anyone but employers. If you're ok with losing money, nothing I can do then.

There’s no way he could get money out of you unless you stole or did something illegal. He’s using scare tactics to get away with not paying you
Contact you Labor Bpard. File a complaint. Tell the owner you are reporting him. That may scare him into paying you. Tell him also you will contact a local news crew to investigate him. That should work. Rip off guys like him hate publicity. Do not let him get away with this.

You really must contact the department in charge of such matters.
He is deliberately stealing from you and trying to bully you into not doing anything about it.
Keep a detailed account of all your hours. Keep an account of everything he says.
This guy needs to see that he can not push people around. If he has done it to you, how many others has he done it to over the years.
I think he would be in big trouble if there was a proper investigation into his affairs.
He might have fleeced tens of thousands of dollars of former employees.

For $200 you may have saved yourself months of a major headache if working for this guy was gonna be like this.
