What rules have you broken at work?

Guess I should start a list.....

1. Dress code violations (I call it comfy)
2. Code of conduct (Bad jokes)
3. Stealing (Shocking I know)
4. Dating (Oops)
5. Cutting corners (Haven't we all?)

Well, I have to think back to a time when I had an office job of the sort that had rules of conduct. Let's see here. That was back in 1996, I want to say. I was working graveyard shift as security at a car battery plant. What rules did I break? Hmmmm...

1. I stole from the vending machines. Not a lot, just enough to have something to eat at night. The sandwich machine had a feature that I'm sure they have fixed in future models, where you could buy an item, and then reach into the next item slot over and pull it out through a very thin gap, but only if the item was squishy.
2. Sleeping on the job. I would literally write down that I was going on a full round of the interior and exterior of the building, which bought me a half hour to hide in the computer office and take a nap.
3. I used the security office phone to make prank calls to bars. I got a female bartender to yell "Mike Hunt!"
4. I stole a car battery. 馃槅 It wasn't even for me. My friend who got me the job needed a new battery for his car. So he pulled up around back, knowing that I was the only security guard on the premises, and I brought it out to him.
5. One time, when I thought there were no plant personnel at all in the building, I was bored and played with the intercom system, only to find out somebody was there, and he got mad.
6. Now that I think of it, I also stole an entire roll of stickers with the biohazard symbol on them. My mom had us on this weird grapefruit juice diet, and I can't stand straight grapefruit juice, so I put a sticker on the bottle, lol.
7. Speaking of the computer office, I would go in and change the screensavers on the computers that weren't locked. Remember the scrolling text screensaver that would scroll a pre-written message across the screen? I would change the text to say something like "Help! I'm trapped in this computer!"
