Anyone else here have issues with being too sensitive?

I'm sensitive to people at work. I want everyone to like me and get along with everyone. If someone doesn't seem to like me (especially someone in a leadership role), I get really bothered by it. I just want to know why the person doesn't like me. Anyone else have that problem?

I'd much rather be liked than disliked, but recognize that not everyone will like me. That's the way it is for just about all of us, I think. The good news is that if you are routinely respectful and considerate of others, most people will be okay with you. Don't concern yourself too much with the minority who have negative feelings about you.
@Rutterman Workplace can be a different ball game than social interaction though…depending on the job, it could be impossible to ignore the boss or coworkers if they’re playing politics. One has to have thick skin nowadays…no matter how nice you are. 🥺

@Vivaci I'm not suggesting that co-workers or the boss should be ignored. That probably isn't possible or advisable in most work situations. However, it probably is possible to limit most interactions with hostile co-workers to work-related matters. Casual conversations that have nothing to do with work aren't typically a job requirement as far as I know.
