Time to vent about my coworker again 🕗🗣

She's my manager's twin sister, and she is driving us all crazy but we can't report her because obviously our boss is her sister and would likely take her side no matter what. 🙄

Here is the current list of her infractions:

1. She is lazy. We all get a full day's work in, while she does maybe a third of that (probably less) and is not bothered to try to do more.

2. She literally takes naps at her desk and somehow never gets caught by anyone with any authority.

3. Because we work in a medical facility, we are required to sterilize our work areas daily. She has worked there for 2 months now and has never once cleaned her area. It is visibly dirty.

4. She is the first one out the door every single day, even while the rest of us are running around trying to shut the place down for the evening (turning off lights, closing doors, etc). She's never bothered, she's already halfway out to the parking lot.

5. Once a week we are required to deep clean our facility. It's not a huge place, so this doesn't usually take long if we all do our part. Well. She doesn't. She will pick up a broom, push some dirt around until all the other chores are done (by the rest of us), then she's done.

6. She is always crying about how cold she is (first of all who the f can be that cold in Arizona?), and she demands that the thermostat be cranked up, so the rest of us are in there sweating and miserable. She refuses to wear a jacket or sweater, we have already suggested that politely. 🙄

7. She constantly b*tches about the job itself and how much she wishes she didn't have to work at all. She's 24, still mooches off her parents and sister, and has zero drive or ambition to try to do anything else. Her twin sister is our manager and she is the complete opposite of her- she's lively, driven, and not lazy at all.

Guys, I am so ready for her to QUIT this job but knowing how lazy and unmotivated she is, she will likely stay there until someone wheels her out the door. 😒

Ok, rant over.
In the Military we referred to those people as "ON THE ROAD PROGRAM"

And if it is a medical facility....does it fall under any FDA/CDC authority as far as workplace cleanliness goes. "Not that you would ever snitch" ..... but they do pay attention to anonymous tips. Advice: wait till the old man gives someone a tour and then "tip"

Well honestly, if you feel this person REALLY needs to go.
I would start by having a "huddle" with all coworkers affected by her lack of responsibility, pick a leader of the group and then all have a meeting with your manager to voice your concerns. Be precise but utmost professionals.
If nothing is done, then go above your manager's head and go to her boss and voice your concerns. Again being precise and professional.

@calicuz we are a very small company (only 7 employees plus the owner). The owner is an old man who loves to oggle the women, so going to him would be useless. The reason this coworker gets away with everything is because she is related to the manager and the owner is practically in love with the manager. 🙄

@DearAmbellina2113

Well my friend, it doesn't sound like anything can be done.

Sorry for laughing, but some of things you said are funny.
I feel your pain. I too have a coworker that isn't so much lazy, but rather obsesses over his responsibility to his own line, that he can't manage his time to take care of his other job duties, and the rest of us have to pick up his slack.
So, coworkers that can't do their part are troublesome to say the least.
It's important to follow the chain of command to be effective.

@Quimliqer well the owner of our company is a pervy old man and he lets these girls do whatever they want. So I'm not sure who I'd even report it to.

@DearAmbellina2113 Understood.

Time to move on.

@hunkalove it's a really great job aside from this coworker, which is why we all stick around and endure it.

I wouldn't care who she is I'd report plus take videos of her
