Branch shrinking

So tomorrow, another employee is giving notice to go work for another company.

Business is booming, better pay, and he will get to work locally. He was promised all that by my manager to come work with us, I wasn't aware until recently, and now that our manager has proven to be a liar, he's leaving.

My co workers are now down to one really good technician and two dumbasses, one of which has been looking for a job but cant find one because he needs more experience.

I'm hoping to find another job soon. Need a safety net for when this crashes and burns.

Said employee gave notice and one of our super start technicians gave said manger an earful. Let him know that he didn't come to the branch to be on the road all the time and can easily go work for our competitors as well however, would give a little time for last chance change before hitting the exit door.
Manager needs to go back to being a technician, he's not cut out for a management position. When confronted with the suggestion his response "my wife would kill me". Very telling to everyone else it's okay for him to step on and use everyone else while he sits in a loft seat of privilege squandering resources and opportunities.
