Sometimes you need to take your days off to recuperate from work. If you’re able to go to work every day great, but you still need time off. Your manager knows you’re a hard worker appreciates having you or they wouldn’t be asking to have you on your day off. Why you feel guilty though is another matter. I hate turning down work myself on my days off, but sometimes I just want to go fishing. I’d go tomorrow if my truck was working.

I do work very hard, and I take a lot of pride in my work. I think this is also a contributor to why I feel so much guilt. my company places a lot of expectations on me, because I am one of the “main people” they utilize because I am very skilled in all areas where some of my coworkers have specializations
I love going outside I went for a nice stroll down the park and went and saw the lake today
Sometimes these things are very therapeutic for our overworked brains
