Someone at work told my friend that I look like a "bike racer". I'm pretty confused as to what that could mean?

It suddenly made my feel like I don't have a feminine enough body. I mean it's true. My mother bitterly calls me a man every time I dress up for work because I'm pretty flat front and back and I'm thin and lean and tall. I just don't look feminine in work suits. And that makes me sad. I could wear dresses to work too but that looks too extra.... Too eye catching. Probably not professional. But I wasn't expecting this from a coworker.

Perhaps they meant lean, athletic, and fit.

Unfortunately folks have to be very careful about compliments these days as some people misconstrue them as an unwanted advance. "You're looking very pretty today" can end up with a dismissal.

@Whodunnit yeah I know the context it was spoken in and the rest of the conversation so don't try to defend it.

@assemblingaknob I wasn't defending anything, just giving an alternate possibility. You did say that you were confused as to what they meant by it.

@Whodunnit I knew it was supposed to be offensive, just not sure whether it was about my body or about my work suits. Or both.
