I really can't stand my boss 😒

When I first got this job, I thought he was pretty nice, but the longer I work there, the more I see him for what he really is. He's a creepy little pervert who makes all of his employees feel uncomfortable. He's the ONLY male in the place and he likes it that way.

He owns the company so there's no one to report him to. He doesn't inappropriately touch anyone (that I know of), but he is always making inappropriate jokes and telling crazy stories from his own past that always just happen to have some sort of weird sexual ending. 🙄 Definitely not appropriate for a workplace.

Also, we have been asking him to hire a male or a really strong woman to help us with deliveries and warehouse duties (all the women I work with are petite and even though I am not petite, I have a bad back), and he has told us for weeks that he is looking for someone who fits the description. Well, I recommended my boyfriend for the job since he's tall, muscular, and has lots of delivery and warehouse experience. My boss was extremely interested in hiring my bf, had zero problems with the fact that he was my bf and would be working with me, and by the following week, he had hired him.

It was great at first! My bf fit in, and was getting all the work done that we had been previously struggling with. He was even being trained to do the deliveries. Then, out of nowhere, 3 days into his work week, my bf was let go for apparently "unsafe driving"?????? WTF

First of all, his driving record is clean, and he has worked for both Amazon and the U.S. Post Office, so he is certainly a safe, qualified driver. Secondly, my boss wasn't even IN TOWN when this apparent "unsafe driving" took place, so how does he even KNOW how my bf drives??? Also- why was my bf fired after 3 days with no warning or write-up or anything?? That is extremely unprofessional and suspicious.

I suspect that my bf was fired because my short little Napoleon-complex boss felt threatened by having a big strong male in the workplace with all his "girls" (I should note that my boss has a huge crush on one of my coworkers in particular, and she happens to be the one who was training my bf on deliveries). I truly think my boss wants only females working for him, due to some sick fantasy he has. 🤢

I plan to leave this job as soon as I find something that pays about the same. I don't even like looking at my boss anymore. 😒 Even my coworkers can't understand why my bf was fired, they all liked him a lot and he was a hard worker. This is the downside of working for an independent small business- the owner has the final word and there is no HR or union rep to protect workers from unjust firings!!!😡
