Should I have said something?

My trainer today spilled a bunch of oil on the floor. She didn't get a chance to clean it up. Our manager walked in while she was on break and assumed it was me. I swept it up to a manageable amount for him, and then he told me I'm responsible for cleaning the floor at the end of the day. I just said okay.

Then I texted my trainer, "Manager told me I'm responsible for cleaning the floor. I didn't tell him it was you." She laughed, said she'll clean it (which she did), and thanked me.

Did I do the right thing? 😆

Those things should be cleaned up as they happen...i think your trainer was wrong in what she did, as regards you"taking the bullet" for her... Time will tell
@Convivial We were in a hurry to finish a car because it was late and a customer was waiting. We had to lower the car over the spill. Then she was due for lunch.

@SinlessOnslaught how long does it take someone to slip and fall?
@Convivial She poured absorbent over it.

@SinlessOnslaught that's good ... That will eliminate immediate problems then... But you never mentioned that before lol
@Convivial I can only mention so much before people get bored and stop reading.
