Why do some admin or principals sounds so rude?

So when the admin was explaining about our jobs descriptions at my new job, they were how pissed they were about the other former employees on how lazy and how they talked shit about the company. I don’t blame them for being upset, but they don’t have to sound rude. The admin (CEO) said, “We don’t put up lazy people and excuses. People have been calling out way too much and taking advantage. We may be kind but we mean business. We understand things happen and people get sick but if you don’t have a reason to not be at work or make stupid excuses, you’re asses better be at work. If you’re not going to put in the effort into the work and care for these kids, don’t come back! Just don’t come at all. Walk away. I know that sounds blunt, sorry but it needs to be said. Actually, I’m not sorry.” The principal said, “You guys accepted this job for a reason. When we ask you to do something, just do it! It needs to be done. You signed up for it. It’s all part of the job description. Just do it! I know it sounds rude, but it is what it is!”
Damn! That was…..harsh and blunt.
