Teachers and staff, when do you start going back to work?

The job where I work, we start back next Wednesday, July 20th. I know that sounds pretty early but we have to set up for a classroom and a half staff development. Our students start back school August 1st.
I’m one of the support staff (support teacher) at an autism school.

@SW-User It is just too bad that most of the things they teach in school do not prepare kids for the real world.

@CestManan the reality is that students need to be trained how to think critically..
Otherwise, they won’t be successful..
An embarrassing number high school kids can’t solve a single variable equation ..thus they aren’t equipped to move into higher paying fields.
Kids compete globally now for jobs..
That is the reality, welcome to it..

We start back August 3rd. The staff does. We have planning and staff development. Students start back August 10th.
