My boss makes me a little uncomfortable ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

But I like my job so I don't say anything. ๐Ÿ˜”

He is a very old man, but he is always making jokes and telling stories that border on inappropriate. Also he seems to only hire very pretty YOUNG women. I am his oldest (in age) employee, and there is one other woman who is almost my age but she's very pretty and always wears unprofessional revealing clothing. The other employees are all under 21 (and one of them also dresses suggestively). I have zero problem with people dressing how they want outside of work, but come on, at work, there is a level of professionalism that really should be considered.

My boss also makes me uncomfortable in the fact that he allows one of the employees to bring her children to work on certain days (ages 11 and 13), and they actually do work- which, last time I checked, is against the law?? Also the 13 yr old child dresses in clothing that is waaaay inappropriate (low cut crop tops, etc) although that is her mother's fault, not my boss's fault.

Idk what to do. I am trying to just keep my head down and do my job and not worry about all the ethical violations. But on the other hand, the work environment does feel like it's becoming more toxic every day. ๐Ÿ˜•

If there is an employee manual, that is where you would find the "dress code".

In the absence of an employee manual, you literally have no dress code and you (and others) can wear anything you want. What others wear or do not wear is really not YOUR problem. You may morally or ethically disagree with their choices, but you have no recourse in the matter.

allows one of the employees to bring her children to work
Sorry... although probably in violation of child labor laws = again, it is not your problem... And when one of these kids gets hurt on the job... Also, not your problem.

Idk what to do.

I like my job so I don't say anything. <---THIS

As the owner of the company.... in AZ, the old guy can pretty much do anything he wants. My advice as to 'what you can do when he makes a "borderline inappropriate" comment' is look at him in wonder and say "EXCUSE ME?" =Pin him down and act like you totally do not get it ("I'm not sure I understand, what do you mean").... thereby either forcing him to explain it (LOL embarrassing for him) or him saying "Oh Nevermind". Eventually he should get the message after he has to explain his inappropriate statement a couple of times ๐Ÿ˜€.

Although you will often find it difficult in environments like you have described ..... try to be a team player and just let that which "will not be important in the morning" roll off you like rain in the monsoon season.
