Some people work better at night and this could be a good shift for them.

I've seen it said somewhere that humans used to have different sleep schedules that supported awakeness at night not just the day. They had two sleep times and awake time in the day and at night. Some think this is why some have sleep problems, because the body naturally desires two split sleep cycles over one long continuous sleep time.
