I'm gonna be a cook at work now. It's really just prep and dishing out food

Making eggs to order in the morning. Im nervous because ive been working there for months, but never really worked as "the cook" tberefore i dont really know where everything is.

Or how their oven works...

The special orders.

The only advice im getting is "why are you nervous? Its easy?!" No shit, i just lile to be familiar with my environment tho, abigail? You've been doing this for like a year, shut up.

Big thing about cooking for a living is to be fast and clean. If you can be both of those you'll be okay. GL!!

I worked at a Congregate meal program for Senior Citizens when I was in my mid-20’s. There were times when the two cooks would call in sick (one liked to drink) and they dumped the meal making off on us two cook’s aids. The manager gave us permission to change some things on the menu since we were short-handed and needed to work quickly but we made do pretty good. Roast beef dinner and Chicken & dumplings another.
