Mondayitis and reasons for sick leave

It’s Monday morning here and my colleague has put a sickie saying he needs to see an optometrist…..yeah fair enough

What were the reasons for you to call in a ‘sickie’ (sick leave) ?

I do understand there will be genuine reasons too.

I was JUST thinking about my experience as a manager for a retail chain...and my MIS-management of a girl who called in sick EVERY Monday. I told her that if she needed to get that drunk every weekend then I couldn't use her. She got SO angry.
