How would you feel if your job sent you something via email at 8pm last night, with things you need to turn in 1st thing in the morning?

I literally had 1 hour to learn how to do it and turn it in.

I work 8a-4pm.
I DO NOT check work emails after work has ended;and I don't feel like I should have to.

It's just annoying to me. I'm sure they knew they needed this a whole week ago, so why not send out the details a little earlier??

I do get those from time to time, but it is part of my job to be available for quick responses that may need addressed after hours. I have also had those surprise tasks that were needed first thing when I walk into the office. I can't really complain too much either, as I can be easily replaced by someone that would be more willing to accept it.
