How would you feel if your job sent you something via email at 8pm last night, with things you need to turn in 1st thing in the morning?

I literally had 1 hour to learn how to do it and turn it in.

I work 8a-4pm.
I DO NOT check work emails after work has ended;and I don't feel like I should have to.

It's just annoying to me. I'm sure they knew they needed this a whole week ago, so why not send out the details a little earlier??

That would piss me right off, and I'd be sternly replying to them and their managers on how they can't have these late emails with unreasonable turn-around times.

@FaeLuna it was something simply but still, I had to figure out how to do it since it is a first.

@iamnikki Doesn't matter if it's simple - there's an etiquette that needs to be followed. They can't just send out an email late at night with instructions to do a thing first thing in the morning. What if you're delayed? What if you have early meetings?

@FaeLuna yea I'm gonna let them know, and document

@FaeLuna @iamnikki If you had gone to sleep and all your devices were off would you have gotten the e-mail? They took a risk expecting you to be awake at that time.

@cherokeepatti I didn't get it until I got to work. I have my email on my phone but I don't check it once I'm off

@iamnikki that sucks
