Why would a coworker who doesnt even talk to you, send you a request on LinkedIn?

We used to be on the same team. She was very distant.
I'm on a new team now.

I saw her in the hall. She was standing in the doorway of a room, and was looking down the hall at me.

I had just come in the building, and she was looking. I was gonna just say hi but as I got close, she quickly went into that room.

weirdos🙄🤷‍♀️

It's a pretty common thing to do. I get these requests constantly.

@Northwest I don't get why they would though. The purpose of link is for job referrals , job help etc. You're not gonna put in a good word for me and I'm not for you either 🤷‍♀️ so what's the point?

@iamnikki I get your point, but it's something people are encouraged to do. The size and reach of your social network plays a significant part in recruiters' decision to contact you, when jobs are available.

@Northwest right. I get that but like I said , I'm not putting in a food word for you, and vice versa so why even be associated?
