What is your favorite thing about your career?

That I am retired.

Well I'm now retired...

But my career highlights were....

Being the project manager on a new IT suite of programs that were needed to process safety data to a new standard on an antibiotic drug in development. We got the drug to market and in it's first year in the USA alone 6,000 people who might have died were living having been given that drug. The team I had were frankly genius and they worked so hard on that stuff.

At one point I was part of a team to do some future thinking. We thought we'd think up stuff so radical others would think it rubbish and have a go at better stuff - we were trying to provoke a reaction. Actually we ended up shooting a film describing our future vision and I ended up presenting and working with the OECD and government advisors from around the globe on some of those ideas. That was madly surreal and I pretty much got away with them never understanding I really had no idea what I was really doing there.

SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
Idk yet. I start in January.

My favorite thing about my job is that I get to drive around town all day and talk to people. It's fun.

What about you? What's your favorite thing about your career?
Everything.

Writing.

I love
- the processes of research, writing, editing and polishing.
- being at home in my own world, and being independent and free.
- other writers, and writers' evenings, workshops, performance nights and festivals.
- the company and friendship of fellow writers.
- and I love reading - exploring the world through other writers' eyes.

How about you?

Job security. I work in IT and it is painfully apparent my skills will always be needed and as long as I stay relevant, I feel confident I will always be able to find a job and stay gainfully employed.

When I get to either perform or record music. It's happening less frequently these days, but is rewarding nonetheless and great for the ego, ngl.
Payday, otherwise there's no point.
