Do you ever get to work on Monday morning and don't know what to do?

It's not really that I don't know what to do,but I got emails from folks that I can't answer right now cause I'm like "ok what happened last week"?

I see now that I need to start making detailed notes about the previous week, or at least a "do this on Monday list" lol

Thinking back to my last job, we were not allowed enough time on our shift to catch up on email about changes and new policies and procedures. We were told by grumpy trainers and assistant managers that we were supposed to be doing that between calls...and there was no "between calls".

After feeling off base and scrambled for a while, I developed the habit of coming in an hour early after my two days off...which were usually on Tuesday and Wednesday. I needed time to catch up...they refused to pay me for my time...so in order to do my job and function efficiently, I read my email before or after work.

@4meAndyou that's terrible. I would have taken that up with the hire ups. You worked off the clock. You should not have to do that. I'm sure it says in the employee handbook that associates are to be paid for the work they do

@iamnikki 馃槀Their attitude was unbending. Bottom line, they didn't want to pay us for the time we needed to do all that they asked.

@4meAndyou that's rediculous

@iamnikki Well, if that is their attitude but excellence is important to you personally, you do what you have to do.

@4meAndyou yes, which for me is to go-to higher-ups. I need to be paid for working. Glad you are no longer there

@iamnikki I miss it at times. Those policies were MADE by the higher ups...but my supervisor was SO awesome. I liked the people who sat all around me...and I was so lucky to be on that team. (sigh).
