Quit job for dream job for them to go quiet?

So - I applied for a care job to work alongside university, the director emails me saying she’ll love to interview me but sees I am doing a degree in events, she asks if I’d like to meet for coffee to discuss the events role. I accept! I went to the place Monday and was met by the directors husband and head of HR, who state the lady I was due to meet is poorly. We discuss the role and they say I’ll be a good fit. They talk about my hours, what my role will be ect and then say that I need to meet with the director but they assured me everything will be fine. I was told to send them my CV in an email which I did soon as I left Monday, they stated they will be in touch.

I hadn’t heared anything in regards to them getting my CV so I ring Wednesday and ask them if they had received it. I was told they had but they have been really busy so to bear with them.
I have left my old job (which I hated) because I was under the impression I had got the job. Do I ring them today to tell them this? Or do I ride it out? I’m okay for money till October.
