What are the best/worst reasons you have been late for work?

It was my budgie's birthday. Seemed like a good excuse at the time 😬

10 years ago I got breakfast on the way to work and had a bad reaction to it and ended up with the Cadbury squirts. I was nearly an hour late. Told my boss what happened. She said “remind me to never ask why you are late again” 😂😂😂😂

Im late simply because of the trains. All the time, and my boss is fed up with me and her team.

I was doing my laundry, EVERYThing I owned and had to wait till it finished washing and drying.

When younger I use to ring my supervisor advising i was not well, he replied have a good game of golf

I could not find my house keys and was locked indoors.

I always find the leprosy flaring up again is worth a few days off... Stay home till you get better, etc....

worst reason for being late for work would be bladder problems, I'm disabled by the way

An excuse I would use is that I got attacked by a bear.
