I am fortunate enough to be able to be a stay-at-home mom.

I find it a lot more fulfilling than going to the office and pushing paper. There is a myth in our society that maximum fulfillment means contributing to our consumerist economy

@beckychandler I hate that myth. I'd rather have a society that focuses on maximizing happiness through minimal consumerism. Not to say we shouldn't be buying things, but that we should be buying things that last and have more time to focus on family and friends.
