Let's just say, the gov will issue a amt each month.

Enough to meet your basic needs. Would you still choose to work?

What you're describing is welfare. And the answer is no, a lot of people on welfare choose not to work, because they have food on the table and a roof over their head.

But what happens then is that no one moves up. No one works hard to better their life and have their wants as well as their needs, or they choose to indulge their wants instead of focusing on the needs of their family.

The only way to better your life is to work for it. So the correct answer is to choose to work and not rely on the govt.

@ForeverGrowingOld You have no fucking idea what it's like or how hard some people work so they don't have to rely on welfare. There will always be people who abuse the system, and make things harder for those who actually need the help.
And you don't know what puts people in a situation where they need that kind of help.
