Have you ever met a new boss and determined you didn't like them in less than a minute?

They didn't say or do anything wrong. In part, you just realize you're not going to work well together without considerable effort and you don't have the energy to even try (so you start looking for another job).

@SW-User I feel the same way.

@zeeva70 Trust your instincts and get out. A bad boss can make your life a misery. Find someone good to work for, good bosses do exist

@SW-User Good advise. I had one there and now someone else has filled a longstanding vacancy, which is excellent for the organization. However, I don't like her. I start a new job soon that's more money and a better fit. Not sticking around for my instincts to be more confirmed than they already are, is priceless.

@zeeva70 Glad you have found a new better job :-)

@SW-User Thank you! Honestly, because I'm competitive, having her come on board was just the motivation I needed to move on. I'll also earn more money than her (and increasing my income was a 2019 goal).
