Dilemma to quit my job.

Hi Peeps,

I work as a software developer. I enjoyed developing, i used to enjoy solving problem. It give me satisfaction when i manage to resolve the issues.

But during this two years @ work. It gave me ptsd, lost all emotions no drive. Just want to earn that damn pay check.
For that pathetic 3 meals a day.

I still take pride in my job. Recently i hand it over to another co-worker. Everything simply just break. I felt totally like crap. All my hardwork.... I not sure to even work in this line. Or have a career switch.

------Please don't bash me-------

Workplace burnout is difficult to deal with. You spend years developing your set of skills and you get to a point where you don't have any options anymore — you have to stay in that career, or at least feel as if you do.

Sometimes the solution isn't to change careers but rather change employers. Perhaps rather than working for high-pressure commercial companies, you could look at using your skills to help a non-profit agency of some sort, something working to help people. That way, you get to use your skills but now in the pursuit of a worthy cause.

@MatthewTheHamster Yeah. Gotta pay the rent. Still, it's worth looking to see what other opportunities are out there.
