Do you like talking to new coworkers?

I don't and I'll tell you why.

The job has such a high turnover rate. I hate talking to folks and then they're gone the next day or next week. I hate all the surface level BS that one must go thru to have a real conversation. So all of my conversations are surface level and that's annoying.

Then there is the fact that I don't associate with my coworkers. One doesn't like me ever since I asked him (with an attitude) why our department was always a mess when I come in to work. The chicks that used to talk to me dont anymore since they are friends with him. So I'm pretty sure they will get 'ahold' of any new associates and basically tell them not to talk to me or spread rumors like high school ...anyway

I wish I had a start date for my new job or I wouldn't return.

My job is the opposite, we have a very low turnover rate. We all enjoy the job, and we're all total fucking weirdos, so there's a lot of incentive to stay. And also our boss does a lot of stuff that law enforcement frowns upon, so we're covering for him, and he pays us really good in return.

This is the reason I don't make friends with the staff at gyms or even restaurants, coffee houses and such. Turnover.

The nature of the beast, it's everywhere. No matter how you slice it...good luck.
