When is someone actually going to do something about ageism in hiring and the workplace? AARP isn't shit

I worked at HQ in AARP. Dont give them your money. You wouldn't believe the opulence that upper management lives in. The offices are like palaces and they waste money on parties and travel like a major corporation. Jobs and ageism should be a major focus for them - instead they sell you insurance.

Ageism is a pretty crap thing. My dad turned 60 and they just gave him a letter. He thretened to sue because a) they had just exteded his contract and b) he hadn’t infringed on any clause in that contract. After they backed down, he quit anyway, cuz unless you really have to, working for smarmy fucks like those after a stunt like that is gonna put you in a bad mood for whatever time is remaining. Happily they released him from it. So I guess they got what they wanted after all.

But he’s working at a company now which pays him more and which sends him on trips to China and Fiji and Cameroon@Longpatrol
