I work in retail. I have a coworker who works the same department as me. I come in at 3pm. The area including the fitting room is always a mess. Clothes falling off hangers, clothes on the floor. In the fitting rooms, clothes on floor, in abandoned baskets, huge pile 9f hangers on the floor. Obviously, no one cares to go in and check the fitting rooms or do any work because they know that I'm coming in a little later. So this co-worker decides to come in and check on the fitting room and told me that they didn't know it was that bad. It's Saturday people have gotten their income tax so you know that the store is busy so why not come in and check. I feel im being taken advantage of. So i spend my entire workday cleaning up what coworker messed up/ let get out of hand plus, handling the swarm of nonstop customers in the rooms and shopping, knocking clothes on the floor.

*****Before you talk down to me about working in retail like many people like to do, and to find a new job, please know that I'll be done with college in 2 months. *****

Just do your job so you don't get fired. Only put extra effort if you need extra money or if you just like your job. If someone else is slacking don't be like them and also slack off but don't overburden yourself with other people's problems either. Hope my advice helps.
