What do you really want to do with your life?

I'm 41 and still trying to figure it out...

Made the mistake of choosing a less than financially viable option of pursuing performing arts. One thing I know is it's never to late to change your mind about everything! Love to hear some new thoughts and ideas for inspiration and try to catch a glimpse of the future or a clue into the minds of the next generation.

I'm just at the start of my "career" but currently in a job that I know I don't want to do for an extended period, but unsure of where to turn next. I would like to do something outdoors where I work with my hands - like a gardener perhaps!

You're right, it's never too late to change, but it doesn't mean it's easy. You have to muster the motivation and the energy to make the time to do the thing you "really" want to do (for now anyway - it can always change) and even then you still have to support yourself financially somehow. like @Bluebell, I wish we didn't have to work to survive, but that's the system we've built and it's extremely difficult to get out of that. I frequently think about how humans lived - and still do live in remote pockets in the world - where the entire community looked out for one another rather than running their own frenzied rat-race to their eventual graves...

But since there are thing that I can't change, I'd rather choose to try my best to look on the positive side hoping for better days in the future. I try and seek out other people's stories of success to inspire me too. I hope you are happy, whatever you choose to do :)
