What do you really want to do with your life?

I'm 41 and still trying to figure it out...

Made the mistake of choosing a less than financially viable option of pursuing performing arts. One thing I know is it's never to late to change your mind about everything! Love to hear some new thoughts and ideas for inspiration and try to catch a glimpse of the future or a clue into the minds of the next generation.

I'm just at the start of my "career" but currently in a job that I know I don't want to do for an extended period, but unsure of where to turn next. I would like to do something outdoors where I work with my hands - like a gardener perhaps!

You're right, it's never too late to change, but it doesn't mean it's easy. You have to muster the motivation and the energy to make the time to do the thing you "really" want to do (for now anyway - it can always change) and even then you still have to support yourself financially somehow. like @Bluebell, I wish we didn't have to work to survive, but that's the system we've built and it's extremely difficult to get out of that. I frequently think about how humans lived - and still do live in remote pockets in the world - where the entire community looked out for one another rather than running their own frenzied rat-race to their eventual graves...

But since there are thing that I can't change, I'd rather choose to try my best to look on the positive side hoping for better days in the future. I try and seek out other people's stories of success to inspire me too. I hope you are happy, whatever you choose to do :)

This is how you get someone to commit (you responded to my post so I thought I'd have a quick look at how you probably tick). You find out what they want (in a relationship) and give it to them. I add at this point in addition to what I wrote - give them what they really want which is not necessarily what they say they want. Very few people know what they want deep down so getting to the route of it takes listening on a really deep level. Very occasionally you come across a person who says exactly as it is - that's the people I like and if they give me what I want in return which is more or less sex and presents lol - I am not complicated although am mistaken sometimes for being confusing or complicated - then I'm happy.

I am hoping to do music for a living. Possible, but very difficult to achieve.

At least you'll own copyrighted material to potentially sell as the law is on your side there where as a dancer does not get credited for choreography (all my youtubes get flagged) @SubZeroSlays808

Hope that you have a happy life in whatever you choose.

Curious...have you ever taken the MBTI personality test? I'm wondering what type you are
infin8stars · 46-50, F
Every time I've taken it I've got something different so I don't hold any weight in the results as it seems to vary with test versions as there isn't a single standard format and the questions are also vague enough to change according to my current mood @plungesponge

Life can take a turn anytime and things can happen rapidly. It could also be our meeting as we can explore what can be done together..

Can you explain more about your performing art ?

I did gymnastics and dance as a kid, theater in high school and college, and ran away to join a circus when I was 20. It was there that I started fire dancing long before it became such a popular hobby and seemed like it would remain a rare novelty niche. But now a days it's an over-saturated market with very little demand for it as a business service. @in10RjFox

I wanna rock!!
I don't want to work but that's impossible.

As technology advances there will be less need for workers so this is something that future generations will have to face and find a solution for economically @Gingerbreadspice
