How do you deal with a lazy coworker?

I don't....I worry about doing my job and let management lose sleep over the sloth.

My company seems to promote these types,lol.

Fire him/her. I'm the boss.

Do my fair share, help people who help me and never pick up lazy people's slack, ever.

Fortunately, I usually don't pay their salaries

Slackers make it hard on other employees in most work situations, usually, they get rid of themselves soon enough, but I noticed in some union jobs, they earn the title "worms". Union members who take unethical advantage of the difficulty involved in firing them. Some even take pride in it.
