Who else is only going to work today becuase if they don't they won't get paid for the holiday? Lol

At most employers in order to get paid for a holiday they must work the it last scheduled day before and the first scheduled day after the holiday.

Full-time employees where I work automatically get paid for holidays whether they work then or not. They have us take a day off in the same week sometimes though. I'll be off anyway the day after but I'll still get holiday pay. Nothing about working the day before or after in order to get the holiday pay.
