@Quimliqer true..but if one knows how to dress for it one is fine. but we never learn. the minute you get wet you're fucked. there's no warming up. but like yesterday at work and outside running the forklifts i hated it too at -13 and sunny. i had 3 layers of pants on...lol. yeah, yeah...i'm a pussy ass bc boy...i want rain ...🤣 ....all kidding aside i think we have the best summers.
@Quimliqer i've only been to edmonton once. it was june 2006 during oilers/hurricanes stanley cup run. it was game 6. what a game. i think the bar was the lions or something like that or had lion in the name. it was in our hotel. every time the oilers scored everyone went nuts and understandably. but we were silent. dudes next to us were like "hey man cheer up and start cheering"...we're like, we're canuck fans we aren't allowed to cheer...we were given a pass. lol. we were in the kootenays playing golf and made the drive to edmonton because they had a rugby gig at commonwealth. i was in jeans and a hoody and still froze. i was thinking how could anyone watch a football game here in october let alone a november playoff game. and we were there in june. i had fun there though and partied with oiler fans.
@ImpeccablyImperfect yes i think so. it was a hotel right off the main highway. on the left side not far from that sign "welcome to edmonton...city of champions" 🤣. glenn anderson lives here, and i've had a few conversations with him about his hockey career. i once asked him what stanley cup was the sweetest to win. he told me "actually it was with the rangers against you guys in 1994" i wanted to punch him in the nose 🤣
@beermeplease haha but that’s the perfect response, in his case! I used to live in Edmonton, right across from the Lion’s Head…that was my local hangout, back about 2004.
@Quimliqer yep...we are on an eastern road trip right now...lost to the blues but beat the devils, rangers, islanders, penguins wich is pretty impressive being on the road. something tells me they will lose to the sabers...game starts in an hour and a half. they never do well in those early games especially at the end of a road trip. oh they have one more in columbus on monday.
