I didn’t know he was at a funeral when I asked for one extra day off [I Hate My Boss]

My wife is out of town for 5 days. Thought it would be a good time to go camping so had an idea to text and ask my boss for one extra day off which I rarely do. He replies back “do you know where I am?” “ I am at a funeral”

How the hell am I supposed to know that you are at a funeral! I didn’t know it was a crime to ask your boss to have a day off. I didn’t respond obviously and will not be going camping this week lol.
